This vintage Seiko Sportsmatic 5 Deluxe 7619-9041 is a superb example of Seiko’s early Sportsmatic 5 era, featuring a beautifully preserved silver sunburst dial, applied indices and the distinctive red “5” shield. Powered by Seiko’s 25-jewel automatic 7619 movement, it features a day-date display at 3 o’clock and the desirable “Deluxe” designation. Its angular case and deeply fluted bezel give the watch fantastic presence, while the caseback carries Seiko’s highly collectible Dolphin emblem, a charming hallmark found on many of the brand’s early water-resistant watches. Dating from the 1960s, this is a fantastic piece of early Seiko 5 history with heaps of vintage character.
