This Seiko 5 Sports 5126-8100 is a fantastic example of Seiko’s bold sports-watch design from the late 1960s. The watch features a striking deep blue dial with contrasting aged hour markers, silver-tone hands and a vivid red seconds hand, alongside the classic day-date display at 3 o’clock. The turquoise “SPORTS” signature provides another distinctive splash of colour, while the substantial stainless-steel case and notched bezel give the watch a wonderfully purposeful vintage appearance. Inside is Seiko’s 23-jewel automatic 5126 movement, making this an especially characterful piece from the early era of the Seiko 5 Sports line.

To complete the watch, it has been fitted with a brand-new striped NATO nylon strap, with black, grey and tan tones that complement the aged lume and blue dial particularly well. The NATO gives the watch a comfortable, secure fit while retaining the rugged sporting character that suits this model perfectly. The case and bezel display honest signs of use consistent with the watch’s age, while the dial has developed an attractive vintage character of its own. The result is a highly wearable vintage Seiko with fantastic wrist presence and all the charm you would expect from an original Seiko sports watch of this period.

• A - (Very Good) Minimal wear only visible upon close inspection. Only some hairline scratches on case and bracelet.

• C - (Fair) Noticeable wear and aging. Shows its story and for those who appreciate a worn vintage piece.
